The bond you share with your best friend deserves to be remembered for a lifetime.

Your horse means everything to you. The partnership you share is built on years of love, trust, and showing up — for each other, every single day. That bond is worth honoring. And because our time with them is never long enough, there's no better moment than now to capture it. Wall-worthy portraits that keep these memories alive forever.

How would you like to work together?

These black background images turn your horse into art that speaks to the heart and elevates your space. The process is simple and stress-free. All we need is a shaded area like a barn aisle, indoor arena, or hay shed.

Because dogs are more than a pet—they’re your heart on four legs. The years fly by, but a photograph can hold onto the soul of who they are. Let’s capture their spirit, their comfort, and the little things you’ll miss most—so you never have to forget.

The Experience Step By Step

Let's Connect

Every great session starts with connection. Before we ever pick up a camera, we'll talk about your horse — their quirks, their personality, what makes them so special to you — and the images you've been dreaming of. Together, we'll create a plan and find a location that's just right for your goals.

Enjoy Your Session

This is your horse's time to shine. Through calm direction and thoughtful posing, we'll create a relaxed, low-pressure environment where their true personality can unfold naturally. There's no need to stress about perfect behavior — I'll follow your horse's lead, working with soft, beautiful light right at your barn to capture the genuine bond you share.

Frequently Asked Questions

Where do sessions take place?

Sessions are held at your barn or farm while I am traveling in your area.

I travel to select equestrian communities each year and offer a limited number of sessions per location. Your horse remains comfortable in their familiar environment while I work efficiently and respectfully within your barn’s schedule.

What is included in my photo session?

Your session includes my travel (during scheduled visits to your area), time, and artistic expertise to create fine art portraits of your horse. Afterward, we meet for a private Design & Ordering Appointment via Zoom, where I guide you in selecting the artwork that best fits your home, style, and budget. All artwork is offered à la carte, allowing you to choose only the images and products that feel meaningful to you.

Do you photograph multiple horses at the same barn?

Yes. I frequently coordinate barn days where multiple riders schedule sessions on the same date. This creates a smooth experience for trainers and barn managers while allowing each client to receive individualized attention.

What should I wear for a horse and rider portrait session?

Solid colors photograph beautifully and allow the focus to remain on your connection with your horse. After booking, you will receive a detailed preparation guide for both you and your horse so you feel confident and prepared.

Do you travel for equine photography?

Yes. I travel to select equestrian communities each year and offer limited on-location sessions in each area.Travel dates are announced in advance, and availability is limited to ensure a personalized experience.

What happens if the weather is bad for an outdoor session?

If the weather doesn’t cooperate, we can reschedule for another day.   We’ll stay in touch and make the best decision together.

Can dogs join the session?

Absolutely. If your dog is part of your barn life, they are welcome to be included.

Do you offer digital files?

Yes. You will receive a complimentary digital file of every image you purchase. These files are perfect for sharing on social media and printing small gift-sized prints for friends and family.

What type of space is required for black background sessions?

These portraits are created in a naturally shaded opening where your horse can stand comfortably and pivot with ease. Most barn aisles with a firm surface work perfectly, but a covered arena entrance or large doorway can also provide the right conditions.

Before your session, the area should be cleared of distractions, overhead lighting turned off, and surrounding doors closed to maintain consistent shade.

You’ll receive a detailed preparation guide prior to your session so everything feels simple and stress-free.
